In my younger days, I would creep out at night to the local student union to sup cider & blackcurrant and throw shapes on the dance floor to the goth-tinged sounds of The Mission, Sisters Of Mercy and Fields Of The Nephilim. This wasn’t only at Halloween though - I would do this most weekends. And while I may not have enough hair to crimp these days and it's more grey than black, I’ve always loved Halloween - the vibe, the ghoulish fashion, the fancy dress, all those cheesy horror films, party games and lots of pumpkins.

So with All Hallow’s Eve fast approaching, what better way to get into the spirit than by decorating our houses with all manner of ghoulish gadgets and terrible trinkets. I’ve picked out 12 of my favourite Halloween-themed products from the hugely talented souls over at Etsy, who have stirred their cauldrons and produced a twisted range of delightfully devilish decorations and more.
