New Idol tunes to go with book

Album will be his first in almost 10 years

Billy Idol has announced he will release a new album to coincide with his autobiography in October.

The as-yet-untitled album will be Idol’s eighth. In 2006 he unveiled the Christmas record Happy Holidays, a year after releasing Devil’s Playground.

His autobiography, Dancing With Myself, is scheduled for an October 7 release, with the album due out around the same time, according to Idol’s management.
