Havok, No Doubt men join forces

AFI frontman Davey Havok has formed a side-project with members of No Doubt.

Billboard say he’s joined forces with guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Kanal and drummer Adrian Young in an as-yet-unnamed band.

Reports reveal the group have already recorded an album under the eye of Green Day manager Pat Magnarella and are now seeking to tie up a label deal.

No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani has been focusing on her solo career, with Young telling Billboard last year that the rest of the band were “in a little bit of limbo.”

He added: “We’ll see where that takes us.”

AFI’s last release was 2013’s Burials but Havok and the band’s guitarist Jade Puget formed hardcore outfit XTRMST in 2014 and launched their self-titled debut album the same year.
