I'm using Cyber Monday to find an alternative Christmas jumper, and I'm struggling to choose between these hilarious options from EMP

With Cyber Monday falling right before the festive season begins, many of us will be understandably using it to find Christmas presents at a knock-down price for the loved ones in our life. If you're one of those people, you should make sure you check out our Cyber Monday music deals page for all the best options on vinyl, record players, merchandise, accessories and much more.

I, however, am not doing that: I want a new ugly Christmas jumper to wear at dinner this coming Christmas Day. After buying a brilliant Ghost one from EMP a couple of years back, I decided to see if others were on sale this year for Cyber Monday - and to my delight, they are, and at up to 40% off to boot!

Alternative Christmas jumpers: up to 40% off

Alternative Christmas jumpers: up to 40% off
Want to continue the time-honoured Christmas tradition of wearing a big, ugly festive jumper at the dinner table, but bored of reindeer and snowmen populating your threads? EMP has a brilliant range of alternative Xmas jumpers on sale, with music, movie and TV editions available.

Not only are there are over 80 options to pick from, but the majority are exclusive to EMP, meaning you can guarantee you won't get them this cheap anywhere else. So, whether you're wanting to pay homage to Ozzy while tucking into your sprouts or are partial to a little nightmare before your Christmas, there's almost definitely something that'll catch your eye. Here are a few that I'm toying with the idea of grabbing myself.

Metallica Christmas jumper: Was £64.99, now £50.99

Metallica Christmas jumper: Was £64.99, now £50.99
Now this is a true thing of festive/dodgy pun beauty. Not only does it feature the amazingly tenuous tagline 'Metal Up Your Xmass', but it recreates the infamous early Metallica artwork by replcing the dagger with a candy cane! What japes!

Nightmare Before Xmas jumper: £55.99, now £36.99

Nightmare Before Xmas jumper: £55.99, now £36.99
This number echoes the achievement of the movie itself by managing to feel both nefariously spooky and delightfully festive all at once. It's almost a third off, too. It'll have you wanting to pull off your own head and prance about graveyards with a ghost dog in no time.

Black Sabbath Christmas jumper: £69.99, now £50.99

Black Sabbath Christmas jumper: £69.99, now £50.99
This jumper is so outrageously, hilariously ugly that we're not convinced it wasn't five different designed mashed together at the last minute by panicked employees on a tight deadline. But then, ugly Christmas jumpers are what Christmas is all about, so in that sense, it's absolutely perfect!

Slipknot Christmas jumper: Was £69.99

Slipknot Christmas jumper: Was £69.99, now £46.99
We're not sure if another metal band to ever grace Planet Earth has emanated less festive spirit than Slipknot, which is what makes this grim, colourless, goat-adorned jumper perfect for worrying your auntie around the Christmas dinner table.

Star Wars Christmas jumper: Was £60.99, now £35.99

Star Wars Christmas jumper: Was £60.99, now £35.99
Imagine a Christmas party soundtracked by these daft, bulb-headed lads! The closest you can come to making such a thing a reality is picking up this brilliant - and heavily discounted - jumper and whacking on the Star Wars soundtrack this Christmas. Which we're sure the rest of your family will enjoy massively.
