Magic Mushroom Band retrospective set for release
Magic Mushroom Band anthology featuring material from between 1984-1994 set for double-disc release

A retrospective collection featuring the Magic Mushroom Band has been announced.
Pictures In My Mind Anthology 1984-1994 will be issued via Cherry Red Records and will include 31 tracks spread over two discs.
It will feature live material, rare compilation tracks, alternate versions and recordings from the band’s two Aftermath albums Bomshamkar! and Eyes Of The Angel.
The anthology marks the first time these recordings have been made available on CD, and also includes songs from the band’s time on Magick Eye Records.
A statement reads: “During the 1980s there was an alternative, alternative which harkened back to the psychedelic rock scene of the 60s and 70s and was in many ways, a continuation of that tradition.
“Of the many free festival neo-psychedelic bands to gain prominence during this period were The Magic Mushroom Band, who until now have not revealed their story to the world.
“Led by Garry ‘Moonboot’ and his then wife Kim ‘Oz’ with studio wizard Swordfish at the helm The Magic Mushroom Band made some of the best psychedelic pop and rock of the era which has matured with age.”
