Queens Of The Stone Age have released a minute-long clip of their new track Head Like A Haunted House.

It’s taken from Josh Homme and co’s upcoming album Villains, which will arrive on August 25 via Matador Records. The teaser follows The Way You Used To Do, which was unveiled last month.

Speaking about the follow-up to 2013’s …Like Clockwork, Homme said: “The most important aspect of making this record was redefining our sound, asking and answering the question, ‘What do we sound like now?’

“If you can’t make a great first record, you should just stop – but if you can make a great record but you keep making records and your sound doesn’t evolve, you become a parody of that original sound.”

Earlier this week, Queens Of The Stone Age added an extra London date to their planned tour of the UK and Ireland in November. They slotted the show in at the Wembley Arena after their previously announced performance at the city’s O2 sold out.

The band have just kicked off their run of tour dates in New Zealand, with their next show scheduled for Darwin’s Convention Centre, Australia, on July 16.
