Heliopolis pen deal ahead of live release

LA symphonic prog outfit Heliopolis have penned a deal with Bad Elephant Music ahead of the release of a live album.

Epic At The Majestic: Heliopolis Live At Rosfest was captured during the band’s appearance at last year’s festival in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It’s due for release this summer, with no firm date yet announced.

Bassist Kerry Chicoine says: “All of us are excited to be partnering with Bad Elephant Music for the release of our live album. For a relatively new label with an incredibly diverse and unquestionably talented roster, BEM have forged their own unique path and they’re now at the forefront of the progressive rock music scene.

“We’re hoping this is the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership.”

David Elliott of BEM adds: “I’ve been a Heliopolis fan since their debut album City Of The Sun. They’re true paragons in their field.

“With such a strong lineup a degree of success was inevitable, but they’ve really outdone themselves with what they’ve given us, and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us.”
