Ohio desert rock merchants Electric Citizen are debuting their new track Misery Keeper exclusively with Metal Hammer.
Misery Keeper is taken from Electric Citizen’s upcoming album Higher Time. When asked about the song, vocalist Laura Dolan offered Hammer these deep yet cryptic words: “I think, whether we admit it to ourselves or not, there’s a human tendency to find comfort in misery. It’s just another way to feel alive, another way of being. Going too far inside your own head can lead you down a dark path; for some it brings self-awareness, for others it brings pain. For whatever it brings you, just make sure you know your way out.”
Higher Time is out May 13, via RidingEasy Records.
