Iron Chic man Rob McAllister dies

Former Iron Chic guitarist Rob McAllister has died, it’s been announced.

The band confirmed the news on Facebook, although no cause of death has been given.

The punk outfit formed following Latterman’s breakup in 2007, with McAllister part of the group’s original lineup. He appeared on their last album, 2013’s The Constant One but didn’t go on the road with the band on their recent US tour.

Iron Chic say in a statement: “It is with the heaviest of hearts and deepest regrets that we must say goodbye to a dear friend.

“Although we had recently parted ways it makes the reality no easier to bear. Every wild ride must come to an end so rest in peace Robert McAllister and give our regards to Lemmy. We’ll miss you always.”

McAllister also played in Secret Lives – which also featured Iron Chic bassist Gordon Lafler.
