Perhaps the biggest surprise is that the relatively unknown Lord Of War have delivered the finest album of the lot. The San Diego crew’s second full-length Suffer absolutely trounces all-comers with an exhilarating blend of ultra-modern brutality, irresistible grooves, chilling atmospherics and some startlingly refined and mature songwriting.
