Metallica have released pro-shot footage of their performance of Nothing Else Matters filmed in Los Angeles last month.

The thrash icons performed two nights at LA's SoFi Stadium on August 25 and 27 as part of their epic M72 World Tour, which continues through this year and into 2024.

The M72 tour features a new in-the-round stage set, with the band's iconic "snake pit" relocated to the centre of the stage, giving fans a 360-degree view of the performance.

They are playing two shows in each city on the tour, with completely different setlists each night.

The tour is in support of the band's latest album, 72 Seasons.

Earlier, the band released video of their performance of Sad But True from the same show. Both clips can be viewed below.

The tracks were both released as singles from Metallica's all-conquering 1991 self-titled album, known as the Black Album.

A recent Metal Hammer article reveals how Nothing Else Matters had a massive cultural impact.

Miley Cyrus explained that the song resonated deeply with her when she performed a cover of Nothing Else Matters at Glastonbury in the midst of a divorce.

She said: "At that point, I was afraid of so much. I was heartbroken, and my purpose was coming from this performance.

"I got sober at that time. I really pulled my fucking shit together. And this song was what drove me to that place, because I knew that nothing else mattered. My life in regards to love was kind of falling apart, but I had my love for music."
