Pop Evil head into the Metal Hammer Radio studio tonight

Death to pop music, right? Well you're not the only one who thinks so. Tonight we talk to Pop Evil main man Leigh Kakaty about the band's interesting name and having a bust up with Black Stone Cherry.

And you’ll find no pop on our airwaves! We’ve got the debut from Temple Of The Dog and some of the best tracks from old favourites Turbonegro, Stone Sour and Scorpions as well as Kvelertak, Candlemass, Spinnerette and Philip H Anselmo.

We’ll also be talking about one of our favourite inventions – the internet. And not just because it lets you visit Metal Hammer every day, but because of bonkers websites like China’s Taobao where you can find almost anything for sale. There’s everything from live scorpions and breast milk soap to a boyfriend for hire and a working drone.

Which got us thinking, what’s the strangest thing you’ve bought online?

Tune in to Team Rock Radio online or on DAB tonight at 9pm.

Luke Morton joined Metal Hammer as Online Editor in 2014, having previously worked as News Editor at popular (but now sadly defunct) alternative lifestyle magazine, Front. As well as helming the Metal Hammer website for the four years that followed, Luke also helped relaunch the Metal Hammer podcast in early 2018, producing, scripting and presenting the relaunched show during its early days. He also wrote regular features for the magazine, including a 2018 cover feature for his very favourite band in the world, Slipknot, discussing their turbulent 2008 album, All Hope Is Gone.
