Backyard Babies will release their 7th album this summer after signing a deal with Gain Music Entertainment.
The band regrouped last year following a self-imposed 5-year hiatus after more than 20 years on the circuit.
Backyard Babies will return with a single in May – prior to their early June appearances at the Sweden Rock Festival and Download – with an album due in late August.
Singer Nicke Borg says: “We are extremely pleased to continue our career together with Gain/Sony Music Sweden. It’s partly our history together, through the RCA, but above all it is the common love of real rock that makes this cooperation will become a success story.”
“Here we go another 25 years, at least!”
Markus Tagaris at Gain adds: “We are extremely happy and proud of our new partnership with Backyard Babies. We are confident that together we will lift the band to even greater heights around the world.”
Backyard Babies last project was 2008’s self-titled release, which was followed in 2009 by the compilation album, Them XX.
