David Lee Roth stirs Van Halen quit rumours
David Lee Roth premieres song Ain't No Christmas on his radio show

David Lee Roth has issued a solo single entitled Ain’t No Christmas.
The Van Halen frontman debuted the acoustic track on his online radio programme, The Roth Show.
The lyrics include the line “Quittin’ while you’re ahead ain’t quittin’, and I’m quittin’” – leading to online speculation that the track was about his status in Van Halen.
The Van Halen News Desk approached Roth’s management, who said: “It’s poetry. It has nothing to do with Van Halen.”
But on Roth’s Twitter feed, the singer reported, “On second thoughts, if all work is autobiographic maybe this song is about Van Halen.”
Van Halen have been silent since their pair of shows in Hollywood last October.
In January, bassist Billy Sheehan voiced hopes that Roth’s abandoned Eat ‘Em And Smile reunion would take place at some point after they were forced to cancel their November show in Hollywood.
