Back with a third album featuring singer Nic Maeder, Switzerland’s Gotthard try to modernise things with this, their 25th-anniversary release. When they get things right, it works well enough, though for the most part, Silver pales into insignificance alongside their previous efforts. And we have to ask: are all of those mid-paced tracks really necessary?
