RUSHfest Scotland is the world's best Rush celebration festival, and from its brilliant lineup to its exciting special guests, you can't afford to miss this year's event
Taking place this May, RUSHfest Scotland is the ultimate celebration of Canada's greatest band
Now in its thirteenth year, RUSHfest Scotland remains the world's premiere celebration of Canada's greatest rock export, and 2026's event is shaping up to be the most exciting yet! As the real Rush finally prepare to make their long awaited return to the UK in 2027, what better way to get excited than to unite with likeminded Rush fans for a weekend of great music, great experiences and more?
Taking place May 15-17 and taking over two venues in the heart of Glasgow, RUSHfest Scotland is going big. Not only will this year's event mark a special celebration of 50 years of Rush's legendary 2112 album, but it'll also feature a one-night dream gig for prog fans, as beloved Scottish Rush tribute act Moving Pictures will be teaming up with their friends and Pink Floyd tribute band Mac Floyd on May 16 at the Barrowland Ballroom.
And that's by no means all. This year’s RUSHfest Scotland will also feature a pair of very special guests in the form of bestselling author Kevin J Anderson and singer Maiah Wynne, who will both be jetting in from the USA!
Rush fans may already know Kevin as Neil Peart's co-author on the Clockwork Angels book, but Kevin's vast bibliography also includes novels in the worlds of Star Wars, Dune and X-Files, making him one of the foremost sci-fi authors in the game.
Maiah Wynne, meanwhile, serves as vocalist in Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson’s Envy Of None project, giving her a unique insight into what it's like working alongside a member of the world's greatest power trio.
Kevin and Maiah will be making signing and speaking appearances at the Drygate Brewery in Glasgow on May 15 and May 16, while Maiah will be also be making a couple of RUSHfest Scotland musical appearances at Drygate and the Barrowlands on May 16 and 17.
Other artists set to appear across RUSHfest Scotland weekend include Alan Reed (Pallas), La Villa Strangiato, Outside the Original and The Audiorayz. In memory of Neil Peart, Rush's iconic drummer who died in 2020 following a battle with Glioblastoma, all profits from the event will be going to Glasgow-based charity Funding Neuro, supporting crucial research into Gliobastoma, and the Beatson Cancer Charity. Since its inception, RUSHfest Scotland has donated over £156,000 to cancer charities.
Established by Steve Brown, also of Moving Pictures, RUSHfest remains the world's premiere Rush celebration - a true one of a kind event worth travelling for, whatever pocket of the globe you may be from.
